For this month’s Commander’s Challenge, the top Post in each Division with the highest increase in total membership percentage between November 1st and November 30th will receive a $1000 stipend deposited into the Post account. We want our Posts to show that they’re reaching out to the community via social media. If the top Post in the Division also shares this post from the official VFW Membership Facebook page (@VFWMembershipHQ) on their Post’s Facebook page, they will receive an extra $200 on top of the $1000 stipend! We want to see our Posts reaching out through every available avenue, to show that we are an active and progressive organization that has 20/20 VISION FOR VETERANS!

The Executive Staff at the VFW National Home has requested we not make our annual trip to the National Home for Children this Fall due to COVID-19. It is suggested that individuals, Post and Districts consider making a donation to the National Home in the amount they would normally spend on the annual bus trip. Donations can be sent to Department Headquarters. Please insert in the memo field of the check "For VFW National Home". This year’s first place winner, Jacqueline Abnos, was sponsored by VFW Post 1829 in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Venturing Summit Award and Gold Award recipient currently working toward her Eagle Scout, Abnos was selected for her leadership, dedication to scouting and her activism. As the first place 2020 Scout of the Year, Abnos will receive a $5,000 college scholarship.

With the reduced ability to raise the normal funds for many of our programs and with the reduction of funds from the Missouri Veterans Commission, it is necessary to ask for donations via this website.
