No One Does More For Veterans
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Commander's Corner

Commander Richard DePontee

Comrade brothers and sisters, it is a great honor and privilege to serve as the State Commander for VFW Missouri. I am truly thankful for your trust and confidence in electing me to this position. As a veteran myself, I understand the sacrifices and challenges that we have all faced in service to our country. The VFW holds a special place in my heart, as it is an organization that is dedicated to supporting and advocating for veterans like us. Together, we have a powerful voice to ensure that the needs of our fellow veterans are met and that their service is never forgotten. I pledge to serve with integrity, compassion, and dedication. I will work tirelessly to uphold the values of the VFW and to continue the important work of supporting our veterans and their families. Together, we will strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those who have served our great nation. I'm truly grateful for this opportunity to serve as your State Commander, and I look forward to working alongside each and every one of you in the days and months ahead. Past Commander Charles Williams, thank you for your service to our organization and the mentorship you have provided me over the past few years. Thank you once again for this incredible honor.

A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where you served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.

There is a new cartoon everyday.
